Congratluations Austin!

Tonight A earned his Arrow of Light in scouting.  He's worked hard for this award and we're all very proud of him and his dedication to scouting.  He is surely following in his daddy's footsteps.

Changes

Last night the stake presidency called a special meeting.  Everyone knew changes were going to have to be made.  Since Lincoln was turned into its own stake last year we could see just how crowded our little ward building was getting.  Last night they made the announcement there will be a new ward, Lincoln 6th ward.  Making a new ward meant new ward boundries.  As they pulled up the map to show the new boundaries you can here the gasps and groans around the room.  As President Brasher explained the new boundaries people got excited.  When it came time to show the boundaries for the Lincoln 6th ward, which is basically Lincoln Crossing, mixed feelings were in the room.  We are no longer part of Lincoln 1st ward.  So many people I came to know and love are going to still be in that ward while a lot of my friends are going to be a part of a new ward.
The Young Women's presidency is staying with the 1st ward, all but 2 girls moved into the new ward.  It's going to be exciting to hear all the new callings and see who gets to do what.  I know a lot of people want to keep their old callings, maybe they will.
It's great to see the church grow.  Especially in our little town.  Making these changes allows us to spread out more and continue to bring people into our church.  Lincoln is not finished growing yet.  Lots more land out there to build on :)

Teryn Got Really Mad at Daddy...

See how happy she is?  Man, no sympathy!
Teryn wanted to practice softball so all, but Austin, went over to the park to go play with her.  She had an old baseball that was starting to fall apart.  We took turns whacking that thing to see who can make the leather wrapping come all the way off.  It was getting close.  Teryn was up to take one more turn.  One more good hit and it would have been off.  I told her to wack it really hard, she did, right into Scott's EYE!!  OOOOOOOOUUUUUUCHHH!
What the ball looks like now.  One day, we will get this separated.

Happy New Year!!!

For New Year's we did something a little different.  I wrote activities down on slips of paper and put them in balloons and then blew the balloons up.  Each balloon had a time written on it starting at 3 ending with 11.  The activities each last about an hour.

We had a ton of junk food to eat.  Great way to go out before I start training :)

We did have some vegies but are those really that exciting to photograph?

Some activities we did:
 Coloring contests with twists
Coloring with a blinfold or in the boys case a t-shirt over the head
Couldn't use hands

We did a few other variations during the contest but I didn't get pictures of everything
The winner for the most creative.  Can you guess who did it?
Some other activities we did:
Pool, boys vs girls.  Boys beat us 2 out of 3

Perfect reaction Seth
We all wore headbands to represent hippies for some reason.  I don't know how we all ended up doing it.  While playing keep the balloons off of the floor Kalie's started doing some funky business.
We played board games, freeze tag outside, hide and go seek in the dark, had root beer floats and ate and ate some more.  Watched the last 45 minutes of the New Year's program.  That's when this started:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

(The one who colored the picture with the baby peeing was Teryn)
