The kids and I went out on a walk around the dog park area to get out of the house.  These are just some fun pictures we took while out.

Loosing It With No Plans To Find It Again!

This is going to be a hard post because it is going to have pictures of me.  Those who know me know I hate my picture getting taken.  Now, they've been taken and people are going to see them so this is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone.  I've done one of these before but this is just one step crazier than the last one and I warn you, the pictures are not pretty.
I owe a huge thank you to to those who have helped me get to where I am today.  I know for a fact that I would still be in struggle city and no where near the me I am.
First to my husband, Scott.  His patience and supportivness of me being gone a couple of hours a day while I go to the gym to work out.  Also, my kids, for reminding me not to eat this or that or telling me 'you can't have that!'
Then there is Kacie.  Kacie gave me the opportunity to work at Guiding Fitness in the Kid Sit area.  For my one hour for two days a week I get to work out in all the classes plus do the guide me program.  She's helps me a lot with nutrition too.
Last, Kylie!  Her classes rock!  She makes them fun, tough and butt kicking.  Over the past few months Kylie and I have become good friends.  She has helped me work through the walls I've hit along the way, gave me great advice on what to do when I need a boost.  She's checking in on me through out the day through texts and on facebook.  It's awesome to have someone passionate about what they do on my side to help me get healthy and stay healthy.  She's helped me change my lifestyle and the way I look at myself and her positive attitude has changed me and my attitude toward a healthier me.  I love going to Guiding Fitness to get my sweat on.  There is a huge difference between this place and the bigger chain gyms.  Guiding Fitness is as the name says.  They are there to guide you through fitness to be a healthier you.
Now for the hard part.  The pictures.  This is where you can turn it off if you have a weak tummy. :P

This morning when I showed the before and after pictures to Kalie she said , 'Geesh mom!'  Gave me a hug with tears in her eyes and said 'Good job'.  That made me feel really good and it brightened my day.  Thanks Kalie :)

Seth Celebrates Turning 10!

Legos Legos Legos  Seth wanted his party to be all about Legos.  If I would have known all those boys weren't cake eaters I wouldn't have made so many.  They only ate 1 cake.
We turned the plates into Lego faces

The paper Legos we cut out so Seth could make a picture on the wall.  He chose his name and a dog.

Playing while waiting for everyone to show up.
Trying to keep Seth down
Will he get away?
Yup.  He got away.
Picking who's going to be on who's team for tag.
The gang, minus one.  He ran home to get something and I forgot to get another one when he came back.
A box of Legos?
Nope!  TP!!!
And an Ipod!
Blowing out the candles.
I think Seth had a great time.  I can't believe he is getting ready to turn 10.  No more kiddies in the single digits.  I am officially getting old.  Teryn told me, 'It's all down hill from here mom.  You are old'!  Oh I can't wait for her to have kids so they can tease her back for me.  :)

A Cruising We Did Go...

Caribbean Style!
Scott needed a vacation, and so did I.  He suggested we go on a cruise.  We hurried and checked out places we wanted to go.  We decided on the Caribbean.  We asked my mom if she could come down and watch the kids while we were gone.  After asking her, my brother Chris and his wife Sarah needed to get away too.  We decided to take the kids to Utah since my mom and dad were going to be watching all 9 kids.  We drove to Utah.  That was an adventure in itself.  3 passengers sick, the whole way there.  Every 15 minutes we pulled over on the side of the road.  From Reno to Tooele there is a little DNA from someone in the family.  It took us 15 hours to get there.  Next time, if someone gets sick, I'm renting a hotel and waiting it out.  That wasn't fun at all.
We caught a night flight from Salt Lake to Fort Lauderdale.  Got to Miami Sat morning and boarded the ship about noon.  Gave ourselves a little tour of the boat while waiting to get in our room.
Water slides.  The boys would be on these all day

I can predict never seeing our kids if we took them on this ship.  They even had a teen room where parents weren't allowed.

Our 1st stop, St Maarten.
My awesome husband
I wonder if she can carry anymore?
On our tour, the guide took us up to some spots to get some good pictures of the island.  We swam in this water down in the corner by the green roof.

A map of the island
While on our tour of the island our tour guide took us to the airport.  Why?  We had no clue.  When he dropped us off he said, See you in 20 minutes.  We walked over to where the crowd of people were and waited for the jet to fly over us.  Well, the jet turned to fly away from us and we were behind the powerful engines.  When they fired up and it started pulling away we were splattered with sand and tiny rocks.  It was awful.  Scott thought he was going to save me and put me behind him.  When he grabbed me and picked me up the strength of the wind coming from the jet picked me up and threw me and I landed on my face  in the sand.  When I stood up to try to get out of the 'wind' I was blown into the water.  It was the craziest, dumbest thing to do ever.  BUT it was FUN! :)  Scott lost one of his flip flops so he had to walk around with only one until we could find some others.
Our ship
The 2nd stop: St Thomas

While here we snorkeled.

The fish photos didn't turn out that great.  I am impressed with how well these pictures turned out being a disposable underwater camera.
After snorkeling we went on a tour of the island.  I don't think these areas have driving laws.  It was an adventure just riding in the car with these drivers.
A beach our driver took us too.  It was beautiful.  Clear water.

School of fish, about knee deep

An iguana came down from the trees to say hello and go for a swim

 3rd stop: Nassau, Bahamas

While in the Bahamas we drove over to Atlantis.  We spent a few a minutes on the beach but it was just to windy to enjoy.  We walked through one of the wings of the Atlantis hotel.  They had pools filled with different kinds of sea life.

I was about 2 feet away from this shark.  If I spread the bushes apart I could have put my hand in the water.
These sting rays you could touch.  They swam right up next to the edge.
These sea turtles were huge!
